    The Temporary, full time Medical Records Clerk is responisble for demonstrating a high level of customer service while ethically, compliantly, and accurately processing confidential records in accordance with required deadlines.  A few necessary qualities are good communication skills, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.  



      • Responsible for preparing records responsive to a Release of Medical Records and/or Medical Records Subpoena in accordance with required timeframes, and compliance standards, and with high attention to accuracy.


      • Performs administrative duties which include but are not limited to; photocopying, faxing, filing, creating spreadsheets and logs, scheduling meetings and conference calls, preparation/typing correspondence and other projects as assigned by PPOSBC’s Compliance Office.


      • Customer service with internal and external customers. Must be able to respond to all inquiries in a professional, mature, empathetic and confidential manner. Responsible to provide follow up on assigned tasks (close the loop when project is complete) with other departments.





    • 1 or more years' experience directly managing and processing medical records release requests, and medical subpoenas required for this position.
    • 1 or more years' experience managing and processing records requests including paper records as well as Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records systems.
    • 1 or more years' of administrative/ project assistance preferred.
    • High school graduate or equivalent job-related experience, college graduate preferred.
