    PPOSBC currently has an opportunity available for a full-time Primary Care Physician for our Orange County locations.   Orange County is a region in Southern California known for Anaheim’s Disneyland Resort, a huge complex of rides, restaurants and shops. Nearby, in Buena Park, is Knott's Berry Farm, a large theme park. Cities with surf beaches include Huntington Beach, with its surfing museum. Newport Beach's boat-filled harbor sits opposite Balboa Peninsula. Laguna Beach has tide pools and oceanfront Crystal Cove State Park.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide high quality primary care services, in accordance with agency protocols and current standards of care.
    • Perform physical and gynecological examinations for female patients including review of medical history, screening for abnormalities, and performance and interpretation and/or ordering of laboratory tests.
    • Manage emergency situations as they arise in the health center, and consult with Medical Director and Associate Medical Director as necessary.
    • Provide direct supervision to midlevel providers within the scope of medical expertise and California state law.
    • Provide medical consultation and precepting to clinicians regarding the clinical management of specific patients.
    • Provide telephone consultation to clinicians on evenings and weekends.
    • Evaluate and treat medical problems, ensuring follow-up and appropriate referrals as necessary.
    • Participate in a team approach to patient care and deliver care in a professional, confidential and expeditious manner.
    • Meet productivity goals of the organization.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Current California Medical License and DEA Registration.
    • Current Board Certification  in Family Practice or Internal Medicine required.
    • Post Residency Training and/or Experience in Reproductive Health.
    • Current BLS or ACLS certification
