Responsibilities

We are seeking a Human Resources Director who is responsible for the implementation of an effective HR operational strategy; including employee onboarding, a safe work environment, positive employee engagement, performance management, employment investigations, terminations, and organizational risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years’ experience in an HR generalist role, preferably in a mid-sized organization (200 to 500 employees); including 5+ years of management experience.
  • Experience working in the healthcare industry required with a strong commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service.
  • SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHRca, or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
  • Must demonstrate experience and solid knowledge of all areas of human resources including; employee relations, employee investigations, performance management, in depth knowledge of California employment laws, leaves of absence, worker’s compensation, employee onboarding, compensation and benefits.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to gather information, analyze data and subsequently implement and monitor effective processes and make decisions autonomously.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize highly detailed tasks in a fast-paced company culture and work independently with minimal supervisory direction.
  • Listens actively and empathetically to the views of others.
  • Have a collaborative approach to decision-making combined with the ability to view issues objectively and find workable solutions.
  • Demonstrate utmost integrity and discretion to protect and maintain confidentiality of employee information.
  • Ability to delegate and empower staff effectively. Be a team builder and have the ability to foster a high functioning and engaged team. 
  • Ability to communicate policy interpretations and decisions effectively; both verbally and written to all levels of employees within the organization.
