The Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties team consists of medical professionals, health educators, advocacy, and corporate positions all working together to provide the community with high quality health care and education, regardless of personal circumstance or ability to pay.  We are looking for passionate individuals who want to help us change lives and empower communities through reproductive freedom, gender equality, and health care access.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain donor and wealth screening databases, including accurate and timely input of donor information and implementation of systems for the effectiveness of the databases
  • Perform and maintain all donor and prospect research, including: assessment of constituent’s philanthropic capacities, identifying top prospects and determining depth of their engagement with the organization and other research that will inform a campaign strategy
  • Coordinate prospecting for targeted appeals and the mailing of campaign materials
  • Oversee the development of individualized relationships with donors, and broker relationships with donor prospects to meet with the Vice President of Development
  • Monitor prospect contacts to ensure positive and purposeful prospect and donor relations, including follow-up thank you phone calls and scheduling of tours at health care centers.
  • Provide technical support to major gifts program, including scheduling of donor meetings, appeals, and event registration, etc.
  • Support all c3 special events including audience targeting of appeals including invitation mailings, ticket and sponsorship tracking, on-site registration, and acknowledgement mailings.
  • Ensure that individual gift requirements are fulfilled: plaques, tributes and listings.
  • Responsible for answering the development donor phone line, checking daily the voicemail, development email account and forwarding of messages appropriately.
  • Plan, organize, schedule, and help support all meetings and conference calls for the Development department.
  • Assist with preparation for presentations, reports, and correspondence for the Development department.
  • oordinate invoices for Development department.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required and college degree or related experience preferred.
  • Minimum four-years of experience in an administrative position or 3-years of experience in a non-profit in a development position with fund raising and special event experience.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working with donors, volunteers, and board members
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments
  • Experience using donor database software, particularly Raiser’s Edge, preferred.
